Today we adopted Taz. We've prayed for this day for a long time and we are so grateful it has finally happened. We changed his name to Tanner Callis (after my dad) Franks, but he will always be Taz to us. We can finally breath easy. On the way home he asked me if this meant that Carrie could never take him from us and I said yes, and he just smiled and said, "I love you." I didn't realize he still worried about that, but he doesn't have to any more. This makes 54 grandchildren for my parents and 9 for Paul's, just when they thought they were done...

The newest addition to the family is Justin and Asia's sweet baby boy. He was born Oct. 13th, weighed 7 lbs. 13 oz., 19 iches long and a head full of dark hair. Asia and I went to the hospital about 2 in the afternoon and Justin met us there. They induced labor after a while and she had some really bad contractions for about 45 minutes. Then the drugs came and she felt great. She only pushed for about 45 minutes. It was really a perfect delivery. Asia and Waylon are doing great.It's amazing the instant love you feel, even as a Grandparent.

We are a growing family. Harlee was born on May 4th. She weighed 7 Lbs. 1 oz. She spent 5 days in the PICU because she had wet lungs, but is wonderful and healthy now. Jessica and Cory are the proud parents, and we could not be happier to welcome another grandbaby to the family.
Addison Rose was born on June 24th. She weighed 8 lbs. 2 oz. Everything went perfect during the delivery. Angela and Ryan are working toward their all girl basketball team that Ryan will coach. I can't wait for that.
We have one more on the way, Justin and Asia are having a boy in October, then I think we will take a break. At least for a year or two. :)

We had a great Christmas this year, everyone got spoiled, especially Taz. We spent way too much and we ate way too much...that makes for a great Christmas.

We made a quick trip to Orem to see Stevi last weekend. Did the usual, took her grocery shopping, filled her truck up with gas, took her out to dinner...It was fun and it snowed on us so Taz especially enjoyed that and the indoor pool. Stevi is doing great in Utah, but she is excited to come home for Thanksgiving.

New House

This is our new home sweet home. We're all moved in and unpacked, so it is starting to feel like home. Of course half our things are in storage still, it will be a slow process getting everything to the new house.

At the last minute, Stevi decided to go to UVU. So two weeks later me, Paul, and Taz went up to visit and take her everything she forgot in the rush to leave. We made a mini-vacation out of it and had a great time. We spent a couple of days in Park City and went to the Hogle Zoo in Salt Lake City. And met Stevi's roommates and saw her new home away from home.

Paul's father died this week. We all went to Jersey for the funeral. It was sad circumstances that brought us together, but it was good to see everyone and have the whole family there. Here are all but one (Brooke) of the grandkids.

We went to Disneyland last week and had a great time. The lines were short, and the churros were delicious. Taz loved it, he couldn't quit hugging Stevi, he was so excited. Angela, Ryan, and Kinzie went with us too. Here are a few pictures.

I just finished this book and it is a must read. Anya Earl recommended it to me and I couldn't put it down. It will make you look at children differently and help you to be more understanding of childrens behavior. Be careful though, Paul says it has me diagnoising everyone too. Just call me Dr. Becky.

Race for the Cure

Angela and Stevi participated in the Race for the Cure run. It was a 5K run, they did it in 30 minutes. Their good running time had nothing to do with the "hot" (Stevi's words)firefighters running next to them. They were just in great shape :).

New Backyard

We just recently had our backyard relandscaped... just in time for Kinzie's 1st birthday party! Paul wanted me to note that these pictures were taken the same day everyone in New Jersey got 12 inches of snow. We are definitely enjoying the 70's! The backyard turned out great. I will say, I was sad to see our trees go. Since I thought the backyard looked a little bare on the side, I had a new project for Paul and the boys. I had them build a swingset. Valentine's Day

We had a great Valentine's Day. Paul and I went to Sonoma Cellar, which was delicious! Then Kinzie came over that night and we had a couple gifts for her to open. I must say, the bubbles were a big hit! Did I mention I got a little blue box from Paul?!?

Christmas Day was alot of fun. Taz was the only one willing to pose for pictures that early in the morning, but everyone got spoiled. Stevi got her Ugh's and a video camera, Justin a digital camera, Cory binoculars, Becky a lap top and Paul a Garmin. Plus, many, many other goodies. Thank you to all the family for their wonderful gifts, we hope you had a very Merry Christmas too.

It's been a busy week. Justin flew to North Carolina to drive home with Wade, who just got out of the Army. Paul and Cory are back hunting. Cory has hopes of getting a deer this year, but Paul says he will meed a machine gun to hit a deer. I've been busy with Taz, he spends three nights a week at our house and I am loving it. I will be enrolling him in Early Childhood, so he will be with us Monday thru Thursday. Stevi has been busy with work, school and a very busy social life. As long as Stevi keeps dating non-members, she will keep the missionaries busy. You have to look for the good in everything, right?

Hunting Trip

Paul and the boys went up to central Nevada to go hunting for the first time this year. Justin shot a 3 x 2 on Friday. Unfortunately, he was the only one to get anything. They had to cut their trip short because of the snow storm. They FROZE! My boys are definitely used to the hot desert heat. Paul and Cory are going back next weekend to give it another try.
